Why Become a Student Ambassador

The Student Ambassador program offers a variety of benefits that promote student development. These benefits are:

  • Scholarship: Earn up to $2,000 per semester.

  • Leadership Opportunities: Represent Central Piedmont at recruitment events and exclusive college activities.

  • Community Engagement: Participate in meaningful service projects.

  • Personal Growth: Build real-world skills like communication, teamwork, and professionalism.

  • Make an Impact: Help prospective and current students feel welcomed and informed.

Eligibility

To be considered, you must: 

  • have a minimum 3.0 GPA

  • have completed at least 18 college credits at Central Piedmont by the end of the spring semester

  • be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours during fall and spring semesters

  • have at least one academic year remaining at Central Piedmont

  • be a team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • NOTE - Students cannot be part of the following cohort programs: Bridge to Careers, Honeywell, Opportunity Scholars, Ruth G. Shaw, or Truist Honors Programs.

How to Apply

  • Get Invited

    Eligible students will receive an email invitation to attend an Interest Session and apply to the program.

  • Submit Your Application

    Applications open at the end of February and close in March. Use your Central Piedmont student email to apply and include:

    -Two recommendation letters
    -Unofficial transcript
    -Professional resume

    Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Interview

    If selected, you’ll be invited to interview with a selection committee consisting of Outreach and Recruitment staff and current Student Ambassadors.
