NC Governor Roy Cooper announced Sept. 30 the state will move into Phase 3 of easing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Movie theaters, outdoor amusement parks, conference centers, bars, and large/small outdoor venues can reopen at reduced capacity as of Friday, Oct. 2.
The Governor emphasized that safety measures such as face-coverings, social distancing, and frequent hand washing should still be followed.
Central Piedmont continues to offer fall semester classes in multiple formats with the majority of classes being taught online.
Registration for fall short session classes — as well as Corporate and Continuing Education courses — is ongoing.

The Levine Campus offers business and international programs as well as general education/core classes. Our full-service campus also provides college preparatory, high school equivalency, and college transfer classes, as well as Corporate and Continuing Education classes. The facility includes two art rooms, two biology and three chemistry flex labs, two Student Technology Centers, two dance/aerobics rooms, a fitness/weight room, a Transfer Resource Center, and an Academic Learning Center, which includes tutoring, a Language Lab, and Placement and Course Testing Services. Our programs provide entry level to advanced educational options and allow students to earn degrees, diplomas, certificates, or professional certifications.
Expanded Evening and Weekend Classes
Beginning in fall 2020, we will offer expanded course offerings of our most in-demand classes on weekday evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays at its Central, Harris and Levine campuses, to give you more options so you can complete a two-year, college transfer degree more quickly.
These new course offerings are comprised of more than 70 class sections of 20 high-demand, general education college transfer courses. The classes will be offered in sequential order and focus on a variety of subjects, ranging from biology and public speaking, to psychology and business.
