Academic Advising supports your success from the time you apply to Central Piedmont through graduation. You will have an assigned advisor throughout your college career. Advising is required in order for you to register for your classes each semester.
Your academic advisor is your guide as you progress in your for-college-credit program. Advisors help you explore your academic interests to determine which courses you should take next for your program. They can also connect you with resources for additional information and support.
Meet Your Advisor
Your advisor is assigned by the career pathway you selected on your Central Piedmont application. If your career goals change, you can change your program of study with your advisor, and your advisor may change as well.
High school students participating in dual enrollment (Career & College Promise) and the CMS Early College are advised by those programs and do not have assigned academic advisors. Students taking personal enrichment and non-degree courses will not be assigned an advisor but may work directly with Corporate and Continuing Education.
- Appointments are available for virtual meetings, by phone or in-person on the Advisor’s assigned campus
- Please keep your appointment. If you cancel or miss your appointment it will delay your ability to register for classes.
