Money Matters

Estimated Cost of the Program: Approximately $5,045

This estimated cost includes: 

  • This cost is approximate and includes the $100 application fee due when you apply
  • $20 insurance fee, flights, and program costs.
  • Payment deadline information to come soon.  

Payment Deadlines:  

  • $1620 deposit due Dec 10, 2024 
  • $1525 due Jan 13, 2025 
  • $1525 due Feb 3, 2025 
  • $1275 due March 3, 2025 

Please note that these deadlines are firm. Scholarship applications will be sent with acceptance letters, all scholarship funds, if received, will be applied to the last payment. The Center for Global Engagement Scholarship application packets will be sent if you are accepted and admitted into a study abroad program. All Study Abroad Scholarship Packet components will be due by noon December 10, 2024.

If you are accepted on or after December 10, 2024, you will be required to pay the $100 nonrefundable application fee and the $620 deposit upon time of application submission for a total of $720. If you are not accepted into the program, you will be refunded the $620 deposit.  

Additional Expenses 

The following expenses are not included in the program fee: 

  • passport and visa fees (if applicable) 
  • Central Piedmont course registration associated with the program 
  • Personal expenses (ex: meals in airports, snacks, souvenirs, etc.) 

How to Apply

  • Complete the Application

    Complete the Application form.
    Make sure to take the time to thoughtfully complete the application.

    Deadlines:
    December 10
    Priority deadline for program and scholarship applications. This application is due by noon on December 10. No late applications will be considered. 

    December 10 - January 22
    Program applications accepted based on space availability; scholarship applications accepted based on funding availability. 

  • Submit a video recording of yourself answering a few questions

    As a part of the application form you are asked to submit a video recording of yourself answering a few questions. Follow the instructions listed on the form for the questions and the correct way to submit your video.

  • Pay Application Fee

    Once your application is received, you will be sent the form to pay the nonrefundable $100 application fee.
    Your application will not be considered until both the application form is complete and the application fee is paid.
