Central Piedmont provides new student orientation to help you feel prepared for your new academic journey.
New Student Orientations
Orientation is a required part of the application process for all degree-seeking and transfer students. You will be unable to register for classes until you attend orientation. Once you have a Central Piedmont login, sign up for orientation. New student orientation lasts about two hours and will help you:
- review next steps
- navigate the Central Piedmont website
- explore programs and careers
- learn about programs and services to support you and help you get involved
Orientation will also help you decide which careers and programs you are interested in. Orientation is held online and in-person on our six campuses. If you can't attend a scheduled session, contact the student success navigators for other options.
If you will need a sign language interpreter for this orientation, please contact Disability and Access Services.
After completing orientation, please complete the new student orientation survey to give us your feedback.
Some programs have additional orientation sessions you will be required to attend if you enroll in that program.
