The English department offers a wide range of courses that explore writing, research, and literature. Students can choose from Composition, Rhetoric, Research, Business Writing, Creative Writing, British Literature, American Literature, African American Literature, and World Literature.

In addition to coursework, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities so students can connect with others that share their interests in English, such as the student-run literary magazine - The Hammer and the creative writing club - SWAG (Student Writers Assembled Guild).
