When You Can Get the COVID-19 Vaccine in North Carolina

North Carolina officials have developed a plan to make the COVID-19 vaccine available to everyone who wants it in phases. Healthcare agencies across the state are in Phase 1a of the coronavirus vaccine rollout plan and are busy administering the COVID-19 vaccine to NC’s frontline persons who are working directly with coronavirus patients. This group includes healthcare workers caring for COVID-19 patients, healthcare workers administering the vaccine, and long-term staff and residents in nursing facilities and group homes.

According to the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), the next group of individuals scheduled to receive the vaccine in Phase 1b are adults 75 years or older and frontline essential workers, including firefighters, police officers, U.S. Postal Service workers, those in the education sector, and others. Those in the education sector include teachers and support staff members, but not college or university employees. PLEASE CONFIRM
