Information Session: Teacher Preparation Program
Everyone has a favorite teacher that helped shape their life — you could be that teacher for a future student. Teachers are in-demand, especially in North Carolina, so take advantage of the opportunities here at Central Piedmont. Earn an Associate of Arts or Science in the teacher preparation pathway which can help save time and money. Students enrolled in this degree pathway will take care of their general education requirements as well as their foundational education courses.
Upon graduation, students will enter one of the UNC System universities as a junior with 60-61 credits. This means students will be in their higher education courses at the university, start classroom observations, and complete their student teaching their senior year.
Learn more about this degree pathway from an experienced public school teacher and the current Central Piedmont program chair, Jennifer Perkins.
