Behavioral and Social Sciences

The Behavioral & Social Sciences Division offers a variety of general education courses (Gen Ed) in the social sciences for students working on two year programs and for those who plan to transfer to four year institutions. There are courses available in Anthropology, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

The Behavioral & Social Sciences Division fosters a creative learning environment for students and faculty and encourages student learning in critical thinking and personal growth. The division supports programs at the college and in the local community. For instance, the Behavioral & Social Sciences Division helped develop the "Trail of History" television series on CPCC TV and participates in events about history and culture for the annual Sensoria festival at CPCC.
