Talk to a transfer advisor at Central Piedmont if you wish to pursue an excluded major to learn about other transfer pathways to UNC Charlotte.

You may not enroll in both the UNC Charlotte Passport and the 49erNext Program. If you are a first-time college student and are not invited to participate in the Passport program, or if you wish to complete your degree at Central Piedmont, you may be eligible to participate in 49erNext.

  • To Remain in 49erNext Program

    • Participate in mandatory advising each semester while enrolled at Central Piedmont.
    • Remain in good academic standing in order to transfer to UNC Charlotte.
    • Submit your “intended major” to Central Piedmont Academic Advisor/49erNext Coordinator once you complete 30 transfer credit hours.
  • To Transfer to UNC Charlotte

While completing the 49nerNext program requirements guarantees that you will be admitted into UNC Charlotte, it does not guarantee that you will be admitted into specific, more selective degree programs. Some degree programs are competitive and may require a higher GPA and/or other admission requirements.

Associate of Applied Science degrees are not transferable unless they are part of an approved bilateral agreement.
