Article VIII Adoption and Amendment - Board of Trustees Bylaws
- The adoption of these Bylaws shall repeal and replace any bylaws previously adopted by the Board of Trustees. If any section or provision of these Bylaws is determined to be invalid, it does not affect the validity of the whole or any part, other than the part so declared to be invalid. In the event that any provision of these Bylaws shall be deemed in conflict with federal or state law, the State Board of Community Colleges Code, a controlling judicial decision or court order, or any other mandatory legal, judicial or regulatory authority, the conflicting provision shall be null and void, notwithstanding that all other provisions of these Bylaws shall remain in full force and effect.
- Adoption of or amendment to these Bylaws shall be by affirmative vote of the majority of the Board of Trustees present at a regular meeting.
- Amendments to these Bylaws may be considered by the Board of Trustees at any meeting of the Board for which proper notice of the proposed amendment has been given.
