Student Life is excited promote a safe and fun atmosphere for you to participate in intramural sports, recreational events, and fitness activities.

To participate in certain student recreation activities, you must be a currently enrolled student at Central Piedmont, must show proper ID upon entry, sign appropriate hold harmless agreements, and agree to abide by the Student Code of Conduct.

Calling All Gamers: Join an Esports League

Use your love of video games to connect and compete with your classmates and win a gift card. Student Life is partnering with Mission Control to bring you the opportunity to join a video game league. Open to all currently enrolled Central Piedmont students, our mission is to create a virtual community through esports.

Available Leagues and Play Schedule

  • FIFA 21 (Xbox 1 and PS4): Thursdays, 8 p.m.
  • Madden NFL 20 (Xbox 1 and PS4): Mondays, 7 p.m.
  • Mario Kart 8 (Nintendo Switch): Mondays, 8 p.m.
  • NBA 2K21 (Xbox 1 and PS4): Thursdays, 7 p.m.
  • Rocket League (Cross Platform, 2 vs. 2): Wednesdays, 8 p.m.
  • Super Smash Bros (Nintendo Switch, 2 vs. 2): Tuesdays, 8 p.m.

The top four teams in each league will make the playoffs. The winner of each league will win a gift card (one per player for two-people teams).

Join a League

  1. Download the Mission Control app.
  2. Search for Central Piedmont.
  3. Select your desired league.

Campus Fitness Centers (Currently Closed)

The Central Piedmont fitness centers are free and open to all faculty, staff, and currently-enrolled Central Piedmont students. Faculty and staff must first complete a brief orientation session and sign a liability waiver. Appropriate workout clothing and a valid Central Piedmont ID are required to use any fitness center facility. At our fitness centers, you'll find fitness and weight machines, locker rooms to store your stuff, showers, and friendly facilitators on-site to help you with equipment. All hours are subject to change. For more information, call or stop by any fitness center.

Activities

We offer indoor soccer, basketball, flag football (seasonal), yoga, and more! Most activities take place in Worrell Gym on Central Campus. Check the Student Life events calendar for details.
