Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the UNC Asheville’s Bulldog Promise Program, you must:

• be a currently enrolled student at Central Piedmont in a degree-seeking capacity
• submit an application for admission to UNC Asheville and if applicable disciplinary forms by UNC Asheville deadlines
• submit the application fee or waiver and fulfill all commitment actions steps 
• be in good standing at Central Piedmont and other institutions attended
• demonstrate good citizenship and conduct
• earn and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at Central Piedmont
• earn an associate’s degree from Central Piedmont in a college transfer program or in an applied program for which an articulation agreement exists
• enroll at UNC Asheville within one academic year (within the next two regular terms (fall/spring semesters) of completion of the associate’s degree)
• you will receive transfer credit for courses taken at Central Piedmont according to the equivalency list. To receive credit for a course, you must have earned a “C” or better. A status of incomplete (“I”) or Pass (“P”) will not be considered for transfer

Admissions

• You must complete a brief, online form provided by the UNC Asheville Transfer Counselor.
• You must meet all admission requirements of UNC Asheville, including completion of the application, submission of official transcripts from all institutions attended, a written personal statement, and payment of the application fee.
• You must complete an associate’s degree at Central Piedmont. Acceptable AAS degrees must be those through an institutional or state-wide articulation agreement.
• This direct-entry admission program pertains to admission to the university and not to a specific degree program. Some UNC Asheville programs of study have their own programmatic admission criteria, standards, policies, processes and deadlines.
