Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the UNC Pembroke’s BraveNation Advantage Program, students must:

  • be currently enrolled in an associates degree program at Central Piedmont that aligns with transfer to a four-year institution
  • submit an application for admission to UNC Pembroke
  • maintain good academic and disciplinary standing at Central Piedmont
  • intend to complete an associate’s degree at Central Piedmont
  • achieve and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 
  • enroll at UNC Pembroke within one academic year (within the next two regular terms) after completing the associate’s degree at Central Piedmont
  • students will receive transfer credit for courses taken at Central Piedmont according to the equivalency list. To receive credit for a course, a student must have earned a “C” or better. A status of incomplete (“I”) or Pass (“P”) will not be considered for transfer

Admissions

  • Students must meet all the admission requirements of UNC Pembroke, including completion of the application, submission of official transcripts from all institutions attended, a written personal statement, and payment of the application fee
  • Students must complete an AA, AS, AATP, ASTP, AFA or AAS degree at Central Piedmont. Acceptable AAS degrees must be those through an institutional or state-wide articulation agreement
  • Several programs at UNC Pembroke have additional admission requirements (specifically, Nursing, Music, Art, Social Work). Students cannot be guaranteed admission into those specific programs. Students will need to meet the additional admission requirements to enter these specific programs
