Funds are limited — apply early. Most scholarships are awarded for the fall and spring semester and certain scholarships are also available for the summer semester. To be eligible, most opportunities require a minimum 2.0 or 2.5 GPA.  Students must be enrolled to earn a certificate, diploma or degree from Central Piedmont. You must reapply each year.

  • Apply to Central Piedmont, Activate your student login

You have to have a Central Piedmont login to apply for scholarships. If you are a new student or do not have a student login yet, complete the steps to apply to Central Piedmont.

  • Complete the FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) helps determine your financial need. To have the best chance at receiving a scholarship awarded on the basis of financial need, we encourage you to complete the FAFSA. We understand not all students can complete a FAFSA. Students without a completed FAFSA will still be considered for all scholarships for which they qualify, but those with a completed FAFSA will have a better chance at need-based awards.

Submit the FAFSA even if you think you won't be eligible for aid and if you're not sure which scholarships you want to apply for — you could be eligible for more aid than you think. You need to submit the FAFSA each school year.

  • Submit the AcademicWorks Scholarship Application

Log in to the scholarships portal and complete the general scholarship application. This gets you considered for opportunities that match your profile. You can also apply for other opportunities that have additional requirements.

The questions about “my educational and career goals” and “how a scholarship will help you meet these goals" are considered the essay portion of the scholarship application. We recommend that you:

    - write your answer in a separate document first

    - include information such as returning to school after working, changing careers, or if you have a degree

    - use the spell check tool

    - check your answer for errors

    - if possible, let someone read your answers before submitting your application

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. You will receive a notification in the portal when you have successfully completed the general application. You can edit your application after you submit it.
