Veterans Affairs education benefits

Veterans, service members and dependent family members that are eligible for Veterans Affairs Education Benefits are welcome to visit Military Families and Veterans Services for guidance on using their benefits.

Accessing your benefits

You must meet requirements specified by Veterans Affairs and the North Carolina State Approving Agency to use VA education benefits. Review eligibility requirements and apply for VA benefits here.

You must also submit the following documents to Central Piedmont’s Student Records department after you have been accepted to the college:

Certification

If you are receiving veteran education benefits, you must request certification for your benefits each semester. Certifications for summer will be accepted starting April 1, fall will be accepted starting May 1 and spring will be accepted starting November 1.

After receiving your VA education benefits, there are several qualifications you must meet to maintain eligibility for your benefits.
