We offer a variety of recreational sports like indoor soccer, basketball, flag football (seasonal), yoga and more. Most activities take place in Worrell gym on Central Campus. Cardio and weight machines, locker rooms, showers and friendly facilitators are also on-site at all fitness centers.

Fitness center locations

Stay active with free access to fitness centers for faculty, staff and currently enrolled students. Everyone must sign an agreement and wavier to use a fitness center and they are closed on days the college is closed and hours may vary. For more information, including to confirm times the fitness centers are closed for classes, call or stop by any fitness center.

To participate in student recreational activities or access fitness centers, you must be a current student, show ID, abide by the Student Code of Conduct and complete the waiver.

Fitness center rules

To help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for everyone, it is important to abide by the following rules and practices. Central Piedmont reserves the right to implement any additional guidelines that protect the health and safety of the fitness centers and their users.

Please report any equipment issues or damage to fitness center staff.

To respect everyone's privacy, you are prohibited from using audio or visual recording devices — including a cell phone camera — in fitness centers or in locker rooms. Please refrain from using your cell phone in the locker rooms.

Glass containers are not permitted in the locker rooms.

Floors may be wet. Please walk carefully.

Central Piedmont is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. For safety and security, we recommend you use a lock. You can use your own lock or you can check out a lock from the fitness center. To check out a lock, you give a $5 deposit, which you get back when you return the lock. Fitness center users at the Merancas Campus must provide their own lock.

You must remove your items by the end of the day. Any locks remaining on lockers at the end of the day may be cut, and the items in the locker removed. Central Piedmont will not be responsible for items retrieved from lockers where locks have been removed.

Report theft immediately to Security Services at 704-330-6632.
