  • be able to promote your own external information sessions, networking events, and hiring events.
  • be able to send direct messages students to build talent pipelines and strengthen your employer brand.
  • receive our newsletters and promotional campaigns.
  • connect with students from multiple colleges and universities.
  • promote opportunities to targeted student populations based on major, graduation year and interests.

Recruitment guidelines

All roles advertised to students must also be posted on Handshake to ensure equal opportunity for every student to view and apply for positions.

Full and part-time jobs

Full or part-time paid opportunities must adhere to federal and state employment regulations and laws. Central Piedmont Career Services reserves the ability to edit, delete, or refuse any employer partner account that does not adhere to our requirements.

We will not post full and part-time job opportunities that:

  • require payment from students for any reason, including positions that require fundraising from students in order to participate
  • provide students with a financial incentive for recruiting other students
  • are located in an employer's private residence
  • ask students to engage in activities that violate the Student Code of Conduct

Age requirements

Central Piedmont is proud to partner with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to provide quality education to our Middle College, Early College, and Dual Enrolled students. As a result, our student population includes students ages 14 and up. Please clarify any age requirements in your postings.

Internships and other paid positions

Central Piedmont's Handshake job board is reserved for paid opportunities.

Paid opportunities should:

  • include a defined duration: i.e., date-to-date, length of weeks, or semester
  • provide an educational experience that allows students to build upon skills that are being learned in the classroom
  • have an assigned supervisor

On-campus programming

Employer partner visits must be registered and confirmed by Career Services. Registration is completed on Handshake. For eligibility, job positions must be posted on Handshake prior to the event to keep your registration slot.

Companies registered for a recruitment or workshop event must provide 24 hours notice of cancellation by contacting Career Services. Failure to do so may impact eligibility to register for future Career Services events.
