If you do not have a high school diploma or equivalent credential, Central Piedmont may administer placement testing to help determine appropriate course placement in English and math.

Your academic advisor or program coordinator will inform you if you need to take a placement test.

- If taking the RISE placement test, create your EdReady testing account.
- If taking the RISE or standard ACCUPLACER, schedule your placement test here.
- If taking the ACCUPLACER Advanced Algebra & Functions, schedule your placement test here.
Retest policy
ACCUPLACER:
- One free attempt per year
- $10 fee for additional attempts within one year
- Some programs may limit the number of attempts
- Highest scores are used
RISE:
- Each tier may be retaken once
- No retesting fee
- Highest scores are used
