EFL Placement Testing

If you are an international student studying with an F-1 visa, you may need to take English as a Foreign Language (EFL) courses. To determine which level of EFL you should take when you enroll, you will need to take a placement test.

Retest policy

You can retake the ACCUPLACER portion of the academic ESL (EFL) placement test once a year.

You need to get permission from an academic advisor to retake the grammar section.

Please bring a valid photo ID (student ID, driver’s license, military ID, or passport).

If you have a documented disability or previously received accommodations, contact Disability and Access Services before testing to arrange appropriate support.
