Study Abroad Programs

Any current student, staff, faculty, alumni or community member can apply to study abroad with Central Piedmont. Current students at Central Piedmont or another university/institution must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of application and are required to maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher through the time of travel. Additionally, you must be 18 years old at the time of travel.

ISA Ireland virtual programs

Through the Institute of Study Abroad Ireland, you can enroll in free virtual programs to learn more about Irish history and culture. Contact the Center for Global Engagement for a free access code.

Virtual tour of the world

Study abroad virtually through Study Abroad Association 360. With this new virtual travel tool, you can take virtual tours around the world: take a virtual city tour of Venice, discover ancient Rome, tour the Alps, visit the Costa Rican rainforest or see the bustling streets of India. This platform has something for every academic program. To access this user-friendly platform at any time, sign up with your Central Piedmont student email. Once you've set up your account, you can search to find items of interest or just enjoy traveling to wherever the world takes you. Email questions to global.learning@cpcc.edu.

Youth exchange

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals

With the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals, you can live, study, and intern in Germany on a full-year, funded study abroad fellowship. You must be between 15-18.5 years old to be eligible, but you don't need to know German.

Center for Global Engagement

The Central Piedmont Center for Global Engagement serves as a resource to students, faculty, staff and members of the Charlotte community to explore customs, histories, arts, cuisines, religions and more from around the world. By facilitating globally inspired conferences, events, curricula and programs – such as study abroad – the Center for Global Engagement helps students and community members grow into global citizens who are prepared for employment in the global economy, as well as knowledgeable and appreciative of cultures.
