About the programs

About the Pharmacy Technology program

The Pharmacy Technology program trains you to help pharmacists by following legal and workplace rules. You’ll gain technical skills and hands-on experience to support safe medication use in different healthcare settings. The curriculum focuses on accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork. It prepares you to work effectively under the guidance of pharmacists and employers.

You will learn to prepare, package and label medications; mix intravenous and specialized solutions; maintain patient profiles; manage inventories; and collect data used to monitor drug therapy. Coursework emphasizes safety, quality improvement, informatics and evidence-based practices. Learning takes place through classroom instruction, labs, simulation-based training and real-world pharmacy experiences.
