Nondestructive examination, also called nondestructive testing (NDT), relies on high tech methods to perform industrial inspection. For example, NDE may be used to check an old bridge to make sure it’s still safe. Instead of taking the bridge apart, a technician uses tools to find hidden issues like cracks or rust.
