This program offers a direct pathway to Project Search, a nationally recognized, yearlong internship program providing work experience and job coaching.
Students will work through curriculum tailored to their specific needs, focusing on practical life skills such as money management, computer literacy and community.
Beyond the classroom, the focus is on long-term success. By improving intrapersonal skills and government knowledge, students gain the confidence to advocate for themselves.
I-LEAD is a College and Career Readiness program dedicated to serving adults with diagnosed intellectual disabilities or traumatic brain injuries. The curriculum is interactive and hands-on, ensuring that learning is both engaging and applicable to daily life. Students benefit from a structured environment that prioritizes safety, accessibility and individual progress. Focused on fostering independence and community participation, this program bridges the gap between potential and achievement through personalized instruction and transition support.
Students must be 16 or older, be officially withdrawn from K-12 schooling, and have a documented diagnosis of an intellectual disability or traumatic brain injury. Students must also be able to navigate campus independently.
No, I-LEAD classes are free for participants.

Yes. After completing at least one year of I-LEAD, students can apply for the Project Search internship, which involves working with partner organizations such as Mercy Hospital to build transferable professional skills in the workplace.
