This Associate in Applied Science degree program focuses on the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks (over one-ton classification) and heavy equipment powered by diesel engines. They are found in industries including trucking, farming, construction, shipping and railroads. You’ll gain the skills needed to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
You will learn how to use appropriate service information software, tools and equipment. You’ll practice proper procedures and learn common technical terms in the field. You’ll also develop skills to maintain, take apart and rebuild the basic systems related to diesel transport and heavy equipment.
After completing the program, you’ll be prepared to take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exam. You will also take the AED Foundation Technician Assessment.
