The Central Piedmont Baking and Pastry Arts program is a member of the Retail Bakers of America (RBA) and the Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA). The Retail Bakers of America (RBA) is the national membership-based business resource for retail bakers, providing community, education, and certification needed to strengthen and sustain their businesses. The Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA) is an independent and creative group of current and aspiring bakery owners, professional bakers, ingredient and equipment suppliers, educators, students, and more that are dedicated to producing great baked goods and committed to the health of our businesses, workers, and communities.
Students Obtaining Entry Level Certification
Students are qualified to apply for the following industry certifications: Certified Journey Baker (CJB) and Certified Journey Decorator (CJD) designations with the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), Certified Bread Baker (CBB) designation with the Bread Bakers Guild of America (BBGA) and Certified Pastry Culinarian (CPC) designation with the American Culinary Foundation (ACF) upon successful completion of the program.

- Of 14 new students who began the program in fall 2023, 13 graduated by spring 2025 (93% graduation rate).
- Of 11 new students who began the program in fall 2022, 9 graduated by spring 2024 (82% graduation rate).
