About the programs

About the Architectural Technology program

Central Piedmont’s Architectural Technology A.A.S. helps you turn creative ideas into buildable designs. You’ll learn how buildings are planned, modeled, and documented using industry tools and standards. The program builds the teamwork and problem-solving skills that employers want and supports both career entry and transfer goals.

You will learn architectural drafting, 3D modeling and building systems while using design thinking from early ideas to final drawings. Build strong skills in communication, teamwork and problem solving used in real-world projects. Graduates leave with a solid portfolio, ready for jobs as architectural technicians or designers at architecture, engineering or construction firms. You can also continue your education toward professional licensure.
