Emergency Management

The Emergency Management team works collaboratively to:

• Prepare the college for emergencies and disruptive events.
• Build a culture of readiness through training, education, and awareness.
• Partner with college leaders, departments, and community agencies to strengthen preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
• Promote a coordinated, all-hazards approach aligned with FEMA's National Incident Management System (NIMS).

Emergency Management is responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining the college's Emergency Operations Plan and supporting annexes.
• Managing the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and coordinating the college's operational response during emergencies.
• Developing and implementing the college's multi-year Training and Exercise Program in alignment with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), the national standard for designing, conducting, and evaluating exercises.
• Providing strategic oversight and day-to-day administration of the Critical Alert emergency notification system.

Emergency Management also supports:

• Business continuity and resilience planning to help sustain critical college operations.
• Departmental preparedness, continuity, and recovery planning efforts.
• ·Risk reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities that enhance the college's ability to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from incidents.
