Amy Campbell is a conceptual artist, storyteller, and founder of Mental Health Reimagined, whose work explores the intersection of mental health, connection, and collective healing. Through immersive, community-driven installations, she transforms storytelling into participatory experiences that invite audiences to engage with themes of resilience, remembrance, and hope. Her current work, The Bridge to Wellness, uses thousands of woven community threads as a metaphor for human connection and the journey from illness to wellness.
On May 27, 1937, the Golden Gate Bridge opened—the years have forever changed how we view Bridges, from marvels of engineering to places of tragedy. On May 27, 2026, we open something different.
The Bridge to Wellness is a suicide awareness installation representing the more than 700,000 lives lost to suicide each year—transformed into 700,000 connections in an effort to change that outcome. in an effort to change that outcome.
Built by the Charlotte community, this 12 feet high- 30 feet long Bridge to Wellness is woven from hundreds of threads—each one a message of hope, a moment of courage, or a reason to stay.
This is not something you simply view. You walk through it. You feel it. You understand it.
