IncludEd course materials

IncludED course materials provides flat rate pricing for textbooks. A $27 fee-per-credit hour is included with tuition and fees when you register, making the cost of course materials more predictable and, typically, less expensive. Additionally, because the fee is charged at registration, you can more easily draw from your financial aid to cover costs or spread the bill across payments if you use the Tuition Payment Plan.

Get started with the Included Course Materials program

  1. Register for Central Piedmont classes in a college-degree program.
  2. Pay your tuition and fees.
  3. Courses will be automatically loaded with digital courseware, and will be available on the first day of your class.
  4. Pick up any non-digital course materials and purchase any kits or supplies not included in the IncludED program at the Campus Store.
  5. Have a successful start to your classes with everything you need at the beginning of the semester.

More information

Course materials available in the IncludED course materials program

Materials that are required by your instructor, such as digital textbooks and courseware, are covered and will be available on the first day of your class via Brightspace or email.

Digital textbooks will be the default option. Printed materials will be supplied only when a digital option is not available. If you would like your print materials to be shipped (shipping costs may apply) or delivered to a smart locker, please email the campus store.

Course materials not available in this program

Items such as kits, lab materials and some non-textbook software are not included in the program and may be purchased separately at the campus store.

Materials that are recommended — but not required — by instructors will not be included in the program and may be purchased separately.

Course material access and returns

When Dropping or Withdrawing
If you drop or withdraw from a course, access to electronic and digital materials may be disabled. Students who drop a course before the last day of schedule adjustment (the drop/add date) must return printed materials to the bookstore.

After Course Completion
Access to digital materials and software is subject to the publisher's terms and may not continue after a course is completed. Students may keep physical materials unless otherwise noted.

Opt-out of the IncludED Course Materials Program

Students enrolled in college-level courses are automatically enrolled in the IncludED Course Material Program. If you choose not to participate, you must opt out by the 10% point of the academic session.

Students who opt out on or before the 10% point of the session will receive a credit to their student account for the IncludED fee. No refunds or credits are available after the 10% point of the session.

Please note that participation in the program is determined on a semester basis. You may either participate in the program for all eligible courses or opt out entirely. Partial participation for individual courses is not available.

To opt out, visit the Follett portal and create an account using your Central Piedmont student email address and a unique password. Please also monitor your student email for more information.

Disability accommodations for course materials
