Women's Health Service in Peru
Projected Travel Dates: July 1-12, 2017
CPCC's Medical Careers and Cosmetology Division will be offering their students the opportunity to put their skills to work in an international environment. Selected participants will travel to Cusco, Peru and participate directly in patient screening, sample collection, phlebotomy and laboratory procedures as necessary, with direct faculty oversight. Run in cooperation with the International Cervical Cancer Foundation, this program's goal is to improve women's health while offering participants the chance to learn about global medicine first-hand and to immerse themselves in a different and unique culture. Peru is a wonderful land filled with volcanoes and ruins located thousands of feet above sea level, including the famous Machu Picchu.
