Judging Criteria:

Please click here to download a copy of the 2015 Rubric.

Judging Criteria will include:

STEM content
Need / Rationale
Data Collection / Project Analysis (What is your impact? What worked? What didn’t?)
Communication (entry documentation--including forms/reports/multimedia)

NOTE:  All submissions will be judged according to a published rubric. Submissions that meet a minimum score for excellence will advance to nomination status.   A category with no nominations shall not be awarded that year.

Students must choose a STEM field that best fits the nature of their project, as the judging team includes not only a core of CPCC STEM educational staff, but also special review/consideration by knowledgeable subject matter experts from those fields.  It is expected that a Healthcare project may not get the best content feedback from an Advanced Manufacturing expert, etc.

Teachers do not have to choose a category, and need only submit a project they feel exemplifies one or all of the aspects of STEM integration, innovation, and/or community connection.  The project that best represents a particular award category will receive that award, judged only in respect to the other teacher submissions that year.

Submissions Open: Monday, November 3, 2014
Submission Deadline: Monday, March 16, 2015
People’s Choice Voting Period: April 10-17, 2015
