Mahmoud Badran, PresidentHometown: San Francisco, California Major: Biology / Pre-Med What are your career aspirations: To become a Pediatric Oncologist and protect the children of the future. What university do you want to transfer to: UNC Why did you join Rotaract: Being able to give back to and protect the community that I have grown to love means a great deal to me. I have always loved to volunteer and be active in community service, so this club allows me to do that on a much bigger scale Fun fact about yourself: I traveled a lot growing up, so I have never been in one school for more than two years. Because of this I have been exposed to many different cultures and I can speak 3 languages. What is your favorite part of being a Rotaract member: The satisfaction of knowing that I am making a positive impact on the people that live in my community and always finding new ways to help. |

Emily Montealegre, Vice PresidentMajor: Pre-nursing What are your career aspirations: To become a traveling Family Nurse Practitioner. What university do you want to transfer to: UNC Why did you join Rotaract: I love to take every opportunity that I can to help serve the community and those who might need an extra hand. Doing what I can to try and impact the community is something I strive to do, but I always find myself being the one who is impacted the most. Fun fact about yourself: I am now majoring in science after spending the past 5 years as a choir and musical theatre major at an art school. What is your favorite part of being a Rotaract member: The growth and change that happens within myself through volunteering and not just within the community that I am serving.

Christopher Ayala, Secretary
My name is Christopher Ayala and I believe in the power of education. Since I have been at Central Piedmont Community College, I have witnessed firsthand, the drive and motivation that many people here have to attain their degree. To me, CPCC isn’t just a college that treats you like a number, as many other colleges do, but rather help influence people’s desire to continue their academic journey, as well as, help them achieve their goals. I am proud to be part of a college that is always willing to put the students first in everything they do. As I continue my academic journey, I will forever be honored to call CPCC my college, and my home. |
