U.S. Rep. Alma Adams will give keynote address at CPCC Student Excellence Convocation

What: U.S. Rep. Alma Adams will address students being honored at Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Student Excellence Convocation, being held April 26.

When: Sunday, April 26 at 4:30 p.m.

Where: Dale F. Halton Theater

CPCC Central Campus

1206 Elizabeth Ave., Charlotte (at the corner of Elizabeth Ave. and S. Kings Dr.)

Details: Approximately 70 CPCC students from an array of degree and diploma programs will be honored for their academic achievements and community service. Recognition criteria include faculty endorsements and a grade point average of at least 3.0. The awards program will last approximately one hour.

Adams of Greensboro represents North Carolina’s 12th congressional district, which includes part of Mecklenburg County. Prior to being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014, Addams served as a member of the North Carolina General Assembly, representing the state's 58th House district since 1994.
