CPCC’s Small Business Center, Women’s Business Center of North Carolina partner to host conference focused on female veterans interested in business ownership

Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Small Business Center is excited to partner with the Women’s Business Center of North Carolina to present “A New Mission: How Military Women Become Entrepreneurs,” a FREE conference focused on moving women in the military forward with their “new mission” to become entrepreneurs in the civilian world.

More than 100 women veterans and active-duty service members are expected to attend this event which will feature an energizing keynote address by Elizabeth McCormick, author and the first woman Black Hawk helicopter pilot; a panel discussion with successful female veteran business owners; networking opportunities; a resource expo; and more.

All women, as well as female military veterans, active-duty women service members, spouses of veterans or active-duty service members, are invited to attend this event, sponsored by Sam’s Club, SAS, CPCC’s Center for Military Families & Veterans, N.C. Military Business Center, NCIMED, The Support Center and The Rural Center.

Spend the day with Elizabeth McCormick and enjoy a catered lunch at this special one-day event and leave motivated to continue your journey as an entrepreneur and equipped with the resources and connections you need to make it happen!
