Standards of Academic Progress
Central Piedmont Community College requires that students make satisfactory academic progress in order to remain in good standing and continue their enrollment. CPCC has established and will apply the following Standards of Academic Progress to all students with a declared program of study pursuing a degree, diploma, or certificate. Academic progress will be evaluated each fall and spring semester. Satisfactory Academic Progress requires that students maintain a semester GPA at or above 2.0.
(Summer semester grades are not used when evaluating academic standing in regards to the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy; however, students’ ability to enroll during summer may be limited due to academic standing. As with all semesters, summer grades can help or hurt students academically.)
The Student Success Center can assist students with finding resources to help both academically and personally.
