Global Competitiveness Summit and Advanced Manufacturing Awards 2014

CPCC will join the Charlotte Business Journal in co-hosting an event and awards program March 12 at the Harris Conference Center in Charlotte. Our focus is on strengthening a globally competitive workforce and on recognizing achievements in advanced manufacturing.

This single registration event combines the College's successful Global Summit series and the Charlotte Business Journal's well-recognized Advanced Manufacturing Awards - a partnership with the Centralina Economic Development Commission. The event will engage global leaders, educators, economic developers, policy makers and others to share remarks and strategies toward achieving a global vision.

Keynote speaker Eric Spiegel, CEO and president, Siemens USA, will offer his perspective on global competitiveness in manufacturing. Featured guest North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory will tell us how North Carolina is embracing global competitiveness. Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon will offer his vision of the Charlotte region as a global hub, and Jim Heller, vice president of intermodal and automotive marketing for Norfolk Southern Corporation, will describe plans for the intermodal project.
