Developmental Math Classes Are Changing

MAT 060 – MAT 080 are now DMA 010 – DMA 080 beginning fall 2013.

The successful completion of developmental math (DMA) courses is a fundamental part of being successful in college. Students seeking to enhance their math skills may enroll in developmental math courses by taking the North Carolina Diagnostic Assessment and Placement test (NCDAP) at any CPCC Testing Center.
Developmental Math classes are changing to:

  • 4-week classes
  • 3 unique learning environments
  • 2 semesters to complete
  • 1 innovative way to improve your math skills


Redesigned Developmental Math Courses include:

DMA 010 – Operations with Integers
DMA 020 – Fractions and Decimals
DMA 030 – Proportion/Ratios/Rate/Percent
DMA 040 – Expressions/Linear Equations/Inequalities
DMA 050 – Graphs/Equations of Lines
DMA 060 – Polynomials/Quadratic Applications
DMA 070 – Rational Expressions/Equations
DMA 080 – Radical Expressions/Equations
