Central Piedmont Small Business Center, community partners to host “Empower U: The Entrepreneurial Mindset”

What: The Central Piedmont Community College Small Business Center, together with the Carolina Small Business Development Fund, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, will host “Empower U: The Entrepreneurial Mindset,” June 4 - 25, at the Beatties Ford Road Regional Library in Charlotte.

Entrepreneurs from across the region who are unsure of where to begin or how to launch a business, feel stuck and would like to re-energize their creativity, or want to improve their self-confidence and create more value for themselves, are invited to attend this four-week event to learn how to develop the critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills they need to be a successful small business owner.

The event will be facilitated by Anita Staton, founder and CEO of Miles Enterprise Solutions, a professional services firm located in Charlotte. Attendees will learn how to master the entrepreneurial mindset and discover the framework for thinking and acting that is used by successful entrepreneurs in business each day.

Program applications are being accepted through April 30. The program costs $300; however, full scholarships are available. To be eligible to attend, individuals must live, own a business, or be an employee of a business in the northwest corridor of Charlotte (zip codes 28208 and 28216); have a strong commitment to attend and actively participate in all program sessions; and be able to meet with the selection committee or a business counselor prior to program launch.
