EMT Experience Course
CPCC now offers the EMT Experience Course that will give the new EMT experience working in the pre-hospital environment with local EMS Providers.
This course allows currently credentialed EMT's to complete a field internship with local EMS providers and will provide the student with opportunities to interact with live patients in a controlled environment under the guidance of Paramedic Field Training Officers.
- This program is a prerequisite for The CPCC Paramedic Program for students with no previous field experience
- The student will attend 4 hours of mandatory classroom training in advance of the clinical ride time.
- The student will ride along with training staff of the local provider for a total of 36 hours and will be expected to document patient contact and treatment information into Black Board.
- The student must have a current North Carolina or National Registry EMT Certification.

The Mandatory on site meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6pm to 10pm at the Merancas Campus (Huntersville), in room CJ119. Your instructor will discuss field clinical assignments at this meeting.
Clinical Ride Time will be scheduled after the first meeting through April 20, 2015
