Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business Administration – Human Resources Management Track (A2512H)

Human Resources Management is a concentration under the curriculum title of Business Administration. This curriculum is designed to meet the demands of business and service organizations. The objective is the development of generalists and specialists in the administration, training, and management of human resources. Coursework includes studies of management, interviewing, staffing, needs assessment, planning, legal framework, compensation & benefits, and training techniques. Students will be prepared for employment opportunities in human resource generalist, training & development, recruiting, and other human resource management areas.

HR Generalist Certificate

Business Administration Certificate with a Specialization in Human Resources Generalist (C25120-10)

This certificate is designed to provide the student with a concentrated course of study in the field of human resource management. Students working on the Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) complete the requirements for the Certificate during their course of study and encouraged to apply and receive the certificate. Examples of Students working on their certificate in Human Resource Generalist as a non-AAS degree plan: preparing to transition to human resource roles within their current organization, seeking roles in human resources functions within small to medium organizations, building people management skills and expertise to better leverage positions as office manager and practice manager, and developing skill sets to move into management and leadership roles. Coursework includes studies of interviewing, staffing, needs assessment, planning, legal framework, compensation & benefits, and training techniques. Students will be prepared for employment opportunities in human resource generalist, training & development, recruiting, and other human resource management areas.
