As of March 18, Central Piedmont Community College suspended classes that require face-to-face, in-person instruction until further notice. College faculty and staff are working to move as many classes as possible to online delivery, with these online classes re-starting on March 23.
All Central Piedmont classes that can be offered remotely will be provided via online delivery. All classes that require in-person instruction will be suspended for now.
Central Piedmont remains open, however, its campuses and centers will be accessible only to employees whose presence is required to perform essential functions related to the operations and business of the college.

Grading Options and Important Dates
Coronavirus has affected our spring 2020 term in significant and impactful ways. Following is information about important dates with links to resources you can follow for the most up-to-date information.
Current and newly-admitted students can begin registering for summer and fall courses as previously scheduled. Find all registration dates on the registration web page.
Monday, May 11
Students unable to complete their coursework by May 11 will receive an “IE” (incomplete due to emergency) grade. Faculty/staff, log in to the intranet to learn more about grading options.
Thursday, May 14
A virtual “Moving the Tassel” ceremony will be held. Details are still being determined and will be posted on the Commencement web page.
Wednesday, May 20
Summer classes will begin as scheduled with online delivery. Seated components will begin when it is safe to do so.
Wednesday, July 29–Friday, July 31
Spring graduation is postponed until the end of July. For the latest information, visit the Graduation Services web page.
Friday, July 31
Students have up until July 31 to finish and have the incomplete grade replaced with a letter grade. In-person labs will take place when it is safe to do so.
