Technician Tool Program

As part of the CPCC/Carolina CAT Service Technician Program, all tools and supplies for lab exercises and internships will be provided at no cost to the student.

Students hired on full-time after the program will need to have their own personal tools as part of their job. To assist new hires from this program, Carolina CAT will provide a special program that allows students to purchase tools at a 65% discount. New hires will receive their tools (and tool box) on their first day of work but will be allowed to pay for this through a zero interest loan over a 36-month period.

We estimate the value of these tools to be approximately $5700 at a cost of approximately $26 per pay period (approximately $2000 in total).

Discounted tooling is also available to enrolled students from multiple tool suppliers such as Snap-On, Mac-Tools and others, through their advertised Student Tool Programs. All CPCC students are eligible for a special tool program which allows students to purchase tools up to a 65% discount.
