Steps to Enrollment

Enrollment in the Carolina CAT Service Technician Program at CPCC is quick and easy. Here’s how to get the process rolling:

1. Enroll in CPCC Transport Systems Technologies AIM Session at: www.cpcc.edu/Transport _ Systems/aim/ . This is a pre-registration orientation meeting required for all of our prospective Transport System Technology Students.

2. Fill out an application and confirm your resident status. Apply on-line at www.cpcc.edu/enroll.

3. Prepare for your placement test by reviewing the Accuplacer Study Guide at : www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/accuplacer/index.html

4. Take the Accuplacer Placement Test. Check Testing Center Times/location at :www.cpcc.edu/testing_assessment/placement-testing.

5. Visit the Counseling & Advisement Center (located on each campus) to have your placement test results interpreted.

6. Contact Connie Volk (connie.volk@cpcc.edu) to make arrangements to take the DAT Mechanical Aptitude Test.

7. Request your high school transcripts be sent to CPCC. A form to send to your previous school can be found on www.cpcc.edu/admissions/student-records/transcripts. Only after you are certain CPCC has received your transcripts, you can request CPCC evaluate your transcripts by sending the Transcript Evaluation Request Form, also found at: www.cpcc.edu/admissions/student-records/transcripts.

8. Check for scholarship, grant or financial aid opportunities on-line at www.cpcc.edu/financial_aid and on the Transport Systems Technology webpage at: www.cpcc.edu/Transport_Systems/scholarships. Complete the online FAFSA form at: www.fafsa.ed.gov

9. Create your CPCC login online at www.cpcc.edu/my_college. This login will give you access to CPCC’s registration website.

10. Schedule your interview with Carolina CAT through Connie Volk.

11. Register for the Carolina CAT Service Technician courses recommended by your HEATT Faculty Advisor online at www.cpcc.edu/my_college, or in person at any of our convenient campus locations.
