Educators Of The Caribbean Farhad Javidi, CPCC Multimedia files can be enormous in size. It takes a long time to download these files from a single server, no matter how fast your bandwidth is. BitTorrent is an open protocol for sharing large files and filesets. It's super easy to use. To begin BitTorrent downloads, one simply clicks on small .torrent files or hyperlinks which are then opened with the user's choice of BitTorrent client. Downloaders get pieces of filesets from the original server and from other downloaders. The more people downloading the same file, the smaller the burden on the central server and the faster the download. The more, the merrier! The key to scalable and robust distribution is cooperation. During this session, participants will learn all about BitTorrent Technology and how to use it.

The video game industry filed suit against the Oklahoma bill two days after the Phoenix ripped the measure, saying, "Oklahoma's new law that prevents the sale of violent video games and material to minors is an example of the state trying to micromanage morality, not violence." During this presentation, we will discus both sides of the argument. There will be an open discussion after the presentation.
