Beautiful Heidelberg is a major cultural center and the home of the oldest university in Germany (1385). You will be inspired by this youthful town that is steeped in history. Heidelberg is also widely regarded as one of the best business locations in Germany. It is both dynamic and charming, boasting the most beautiful Old Bridge in Germany and a landmark castle rising on its own mountaintop. You will live with a German host family in or near the city of Heidelberg which is on the Neckar River. The F+U Academy of Languages offers an excellent immersion program of 4hours of German per day (M-F) by experienced instructors. This course will include pre-departure meetings with and guidance from your CPCC instructor. For the one month program you can receive up to 7 credits (one semester of German language and Cultural Immersion). The German Culture and Language Foundation offers scholarships for summer immersion. Please apply early. Prerequisites: No German proficiency is required, though applicants will be tested to ensure they are placed in appropriate courses. Students must have completed or be currently taking a course through the CPCC German Program to be eligible for the scholarship. |
