Service and Culture in Guatemala

This program will focus on service and cultural immersion in the Tecpan, Guatemala.  Students will volunteer locally while learning about the culture, food, language and history of Guatemala. The program includes opportunities to participate in fun cultural activities, such as zip-lining and painting with local merchants. You will travel with students and faculty from Central Piedmont Community College, Davidson County Community College and AB-Tech Community College.

How to Apply

If you are a CPCC student:
1. Complete the on-line CPCC Study Abroad Application.

2. Fill out the Cashier Payment form and pay your $100 non-refundable CPCC application fee.

If you are a non-CPCC Student:

1. Visit CPCC's Get Started page.

  • Complete steps 1 and 2 ONLY if you would like to take the course for credit, or
  • This application is just so we can get you a student number, it will not change your standing with your current school.

2. Once you receive your CPCC Student number, complete the Study Abroad Application

3. Complete the Cashier Payment Form and pay your $100 non-refundable application fee to the CPCC Cashier.

 

Program Fee Includes:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • All accommodations and airport transfers
  • Itinerary Activities (except for optional activities as per schedule)
  • Most breakfasts, lunches and dinners
  • study abroad travel insurance

Program Fee does NOT include:

  • Passport Fees - visit the State Department website for information
  • Approximately 4 meals during the 2 week period
  • Personal Incidentals and gifts
