Bring English literature to life - not just through readings and analysis, but by putting yourself in the shoes of your favorite authors. This course, conducted online and abroad, enables students to explore prominent English, Scottish, and Irish authors and their literary works. The United Kingdom is one of the world's most popular destinations, enjoyed by millions of visitors each year including thousands of international students. This excursion will explore the diversity and literary history of Edinburgh, Scotland and London, England, with an optional extension to Dublin, Ireland. Participants will enjoy immersing themselves in bustling cities rich in history and culture, beautiful countrysides, cathedrals and castles. How to Apply

CourseCourse Credit: Students must register for ENG 242-99 for the Summer Term. The course carries three hours of credit and satisfies a humanities requirement for transfer students. Course Prerequisites and Auditing: The course prerequisite is a grade of "C" or higher in ENG 112, ENG 113, or ENG 114 or the equivalent. Students auditing ENG 242-99 also participate in the Literature Study Abroad Program; a course prerequisite is not required when auditing.
