Language and Cultural Immersion in Costa Rica

Projected Program Fees: $2,700 (Includes the $100 application fee and required insurance)

Pura Vida! This program will focus on language and cultural immersion in the town charming town of Atenas.  Students will volunteer with local organizations while learning about the culture, food, language and history of Costa Rica. The program includes opportunities to participate in fun cultural activities such as Latin dance workshops, cooking classes, zip lining and a visit to the local coffee farm.

How to Apply

1. Complete the on-line CPCC Study Abroad Application.

2. Complete the Cashier Payment Form and pay your $100 non-refundable application fee to the CPCC Cashier.

3. Follow the 2019 Program Payment Schedule and continue making payments toward your program. Use the Cashier Payment Form for each payment.

4. Applicants for the Costa Rica Study Abroad Program are eligible to apply for the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship.  If interested, please speak with the Global Learning Office about details.

Program Fee Includes:

  • Round trip airfare
  • Host Family Accommodations and 1-night hotel stay
  • All in-country transportation
  • Cultural activities and museum entrances
  • Spanish classes and program guidebook
  • Two meals a day (breakfast and dinner) and some lunches

 

What is NOT included:

  • Passport Fees
  • Registration for 3-7 credits
  • Personal expenses such as gifts
