Tigers Receive Forfeit from CHOA in Round 1 of League Tournament Match #9 vs. Rivals Match #8 vs. Charlotte Polonia CPCC Goals Match #7 vs. Charlotte United CPCC Goals The second half saw Inter-Meck pull back to within one goal with a score at the eighteenth minute. With several starting defenders out of the match for various reasons, the Tigers had no room for error in the back. A major contribution to the team's success was made this day by Sincere Connor, whose offer to move from his usual position up front to shore up the defense proved crucial to the match result. Connor contained numerous Inter-Meck counter attacks and effectively neutralized their best offensive player. Jaime Bueno's goal at the 30 minute mark settled the issue for the day and complete the best team effort of the spring season. CPCC Goals Match # 5 Charlotte United Match #4 vs. Choa Goal scorers included Jason Murphy (26'), Juan Manuel Cerpa (12', 20', 25'), Miguel Angel Cerpa (40', 47', 53'), Diego Pinzon (09') and one other player (let us hear from you if it was you!). Torneo Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation
Equipo del CPCC derrota al CHOA
Liliana Forero

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Adult Soccer League
CPCC Soccer Defeats CHOA
Liliana Forero
Eight teams participate in a league organized by the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department. Among them is one from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), a soccer team that combines several cultures and nationalities. Last Saturday, they faced league partner CHOA. CPCC’s 9-1 victory clearly showed why CPCC was the champion of last year’s regular season and runners-up of the post-season tournament. The victory moves CPCC’s record to two wins, one tied and one lost (2-1-1).
In addition to the good soccer quality the team is demonstrating, it is important to emphasize that this is the only competitive athletic extracurricular activity supported by the College, a fact in which everyone involved with the club takes great pride. According to coach Juan De Lucca, the club’s success over the last six years has been a combination of several positive factors such as the support and participation by the students, the cultural diversity of the group, the unconditional support of CPCC’s athletic coordinator, Jim Bailey, the unprecedented support of the club’s sponsors “All Star Realtors” and “F.D.I.C. Fire and Water Damage Restoration” , and of course the great performance on the field.
